How do you feel about Zoom?

"I'm tired of it"

"It's amazing -- so many meetings could be done this way"

"I keep looking how I look on screen and then I realize I'm not even listening to the other people"

"It's hard to find a place to jump in, so I just stay quiet"

"Most of us now just go no video -- it's just a conference call"

I spend a lot of time thinking about how to "connect" with people on a deep level. How can I give another person and I the best chance to create a space in which thoughts and feelings beyond what's even spoken may transmit?

While the video is fun for working groups, and excellent for happy hour with your friends during quarantine, I encourage you to experiment with voice only versus video, depending on the size of the group and the subject matter at hand.

For my investment banking professionals, a zoom call with a CEO may feel overly intimate - your face in their face!

While a for a PE diligence session, all of the faces may help orient who's who.

We are in uncharted waters, and one size does not fit all. Consider that while we have the gift of streaming video today, remember the lowly telephone, which has facilitated business for a hundred years. hashtag#executivecoaching hashtag#executivecoaching hashtag#privateequity hashtag#zoom hashtag#oyvey
