All dressed up and nowhere to go?

A number of my clients were:

  • "about to close a fund,"

  • "just started a new job and can't really get up to speed remotely" or

  • streamlined their business and "were gung ho about executing a new plan"

...then BOOM, the CoronaV hit and everything is on hold.

It feels awful:

  • Will I be able to get my fund raise back to where it was?

  • Will they still need me, or decide to get rid of me before I can even get going?

  • Will the opportunity still be there on the other side of this?

Here's how to move forward:

  1. Recognize your feelings - this sucks, there is no way around it. And even if you're perceived problem pales relative to what some other people are going though, your feelings are still valid!

  2. Catch your breath and start to think about where the puck is going Industries are being upended and consumer behavior trends are seismically shifting.

By letting go of what was and thinking through how things are likely to change, you can take the steps to position yourself to come out the other side of this .

While the emotions are high, and you'd like everything to just go back to what was, you can easily feel paralyzed by the emotion or delude yourself into ignoring the ground shifting beneath you. hashtag#executivecoachinghashtag#executivecoachhashtag#privateequity
