“The secret to doing good research is always to be a little underemployed. You waste years by not being able to waste hours.” Managers who spend most of their lives in meetings should post that thought on their office walls. -Tversky

2020 was the year of meeting overload. With no commute times, you were able to pack your day to the gills with zoom calls.

Your time to space out and think? Near zero. Commuting to work and grabbing lunch out of the office actually served a purpose.

What's preventing you from blocking out an hour a day on your calendar to sit and do nothing? If you got everything done pre-covid while losing 2 hours a day commuting and eating lunch, what has changed? Have you taken more on? Do you have the inability to say no?

As you enter 2021, it's time to take back these hour-a-day pockets to sit and stare off into space... otherwise your greatest ideas are likely getting lost in your never-ending day-to-day of busy and always on
